Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Vision Credentials from State licensing agency. (Vision Teacher)
• Certified by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Educational Professionals. (O&M)
• Experience is preferred.
• Work effectively with students, staff, administrators, parents, and others.

 

Primary Goal:

• Provide diagnostic assessment and services to students with visual impairments as recommended by the ARD/IEP.
• Development and implement appropriate goals and objectives. Coordinate with campus special education and gen eral education teachers regarding service delivery to students.
• Provide for safety and independent mobility in a variety of environments. Develop and implement appropriate goals and objectives. Coordinate with local campuses, general education, and special education teachers regarding service delivery to students.

 

Salary is commensurate with years of service and qualifications.

 

The position will remain open until filled.

 

Vision teacher/O&M will work 202 contract days.
