Primary Purpose:

Provide on-site instructional coaching, support, and job-embedded professional learning to enhance teacher effectiveness and improve student achievement. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to implement aligned curriculum, analyze student data to inform instructional decisions, and promote the consistent use of research-based practices that support district and campus goals. Ensure all coaching practices, professional learning structures, and instructional supports align with and actively support the requirements, implementation, and intended outcomes of the TEA LASO Cycle 4 LIFT grant.

Job Description:

The Instructional Coach will support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning in early childhood education with a focus on math by developing and implementing coaching plans alongside a continuum of service. This role collaborates closely with teachers and administrators to strengthen instructional practices and improve student achievement, while facilitating professional development aligned to district goals. The Instructional Coach stays current on research and emerging trends in curriculum and instruction to effectively support the implementation of district programs. Responsibilities also include monitoring instructional effectiveness through data analysis, providing timely and constructive feedback, and participating in campus walkthroughs alongside campus and district leadership and other instructional support members. In addition, the Instructional Coach fosters a collaborative approach to family and community engagement to enhance parental involvement and student success, and performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
